Nightmares and Dreams

I had a nightmare last night. The kind that wakes you up in a cold sweat with your heart racing. I hate those.

I was an alien and we were on earth.  We were doing some kind of experiment on people, but I’m not sure what. I know most of the population had left the planet, and there were handfuls here and there, but not everyone was allowed to leave. The criminally insane and the sick and infirmed weren’t allowed to leave.  Then, evening came and I could hear noises coming from the streets as the criminally insane were let loose to roam the streets. I knew they were killing anyone they met. I remember looking out the window and seeing people dead in the streets, some torn apart, blood all over those who were walking around. One person was walking around with a head in his hand, the top part of the skull gone and no brains inside.

I woke up after that. Even thought I knew it was only a dream, I couldn’t get out of bed to go to the bathroom. I did manage to fall back asleep, and have a second dream. It was bad, but not like the first one.

I was looking at a small group of people in a wearhouse or something like that. The guy at the front was talking about rebelling against the aliens and that we should do it now. Then I saw a small device hiding inside a heating duct and I knew it was there to spy on the people. Then I jumped to an airport and I was walking through glass doors. The doors began to shut and people were screaming as smoke filled the waiting rooms. I managed to make it outside to a plane, but the pilot said we had to leave now. That’s when I woke up again.

Both dreams are connected. I know they are. I’m thinking this should be an episode for my scifi television series Chimera.
