Friday Writing Update

Well, don’t I feel stupid. There I was, all geared up to start querying on Tuesday, only to find out the beginning of March isn’t until THIS TUESDAY! This is what happens when I don’t mark off the days on the calendar. Anyway, I have my first batch ready, and I’m really excited. Not even the weird thing about having to use an international mail coupon for one of my queries, has dampened my spirits. I think I’ll do ten a week, but even that seems too short a period of time. If there’s something wrong with the query letter, I don’t want a lot out there making the same mistake.

NOVEL: Guardian

I start working on this project Monday and I’ve decided I’m going to re-write the first chapter instead of just revising it. As it is, it’s all right, nothing great, but I wrote it over a year and a half ago and my skills have improved since then. I went through this same dilemma with SAINTS too. At least this time I’m only re-writing one chapter and not six. I’m going to use the old chapter for reference, because there’s parts in it I don’t want to lose.

Finished an erotic piece for an anthology submission this week. I spent the rest of the week revising and polishing it. I don’t think I’ll make the cut for the anthology, since this is the FIRST EVER erotic piece I`ve written, but hey, you never know.

SCRIPT: Marked

Didn`t work on this project this week.
