Lessons From Nature?

It never ceases to amaze me just how versatile Nature really is. We, as humans, have come to depend on our world being one way, and if something were to happen to it, we would be completely lost. Every year, weather or other disasters rip apart people’s lives, destroying their homes, businesses’ and communities. We struggle to rebuild our lives, to return it to that sense of normalcy we knew before the chaos. This is how we survive and prosper, but there are other creatures on this planet that don’t rely on the same stability, and can survive in the most unusual places.

Yes, this is a nest built in the junk pile in our back yard. We’re not throwing it out, it’s all metal and can be recycled (as soon as the bugger comes to pick it up). Sometimes I wonder if we should be more resilient.
