How Does the Garden Grow?

Slowly.

So the garden is doing good. Strawberries are starting to ripen up, and of course, the chipmunks are all over them. Husband got some mesh covering, but he’s afraid that the small holes would be too sharp and they’d cut their paws. That’s the only thing they’re eating, so I should be grateful.

My peonies are looking wonderful, but they’re so heavy. I was going to get a tomato holder to keep them up. You’d be able to thread the small stalks through the lower wires. If you try this, let me know how it works. As you see, found an alternative.

And we have squash and pumpkins coming up!

We had melons and cantaloupe, but the chipmunks got to it.  One survived. Barely.

These little orange flowers grow and spread like crazy in our backyard under the big pine tree. Anyone know what they are?

Garden doing all right so far. I’m impressed!
