The Veggie Garden (with pictures!)

Trying to get back on track. My weekend partying really pulled me off my schedule. So, here goes.

It’s really coming along nicely. Granted, I need to get in and weed a bit more, but it exploded as soon as we got some nice weather. My two tomato plants exploded, especially the one on the right.

We’re going to have a pile of tomatoes. Will probably have to make spagetti sauce and freeze it.

Celery (right) and Onions (left)

Green peppers are coming along nicely too. Four plants, I’m going to have to find a really good stuffed pepper recipe.

Vines are doing great too. You can actually see what plant will have what on it. 😀

Butternut Squash

Wild asparagus.

My petunias

Thyme growing in our front lawn.

It smells so nice when Husband mows the lawn. That’s how we knew we had herbs growing there. We haven’t been able to harvest anything. I think most of this will be late summer/early autumn before it’s ready. Hopefully the tomatoes will be done soon. One of the two were suppose to be ‘early’ ones. Not too damn early if you ask me.

So green! The squirrels have been eating my tomatoes. And my squashes flower but don’t set fruit. Oh well. I hope you continue to have better luck than me!

    • We had the chipmunks and bunnies nab all our strawberries. I think we got three off of two bushes. 😦 Hopefully they’ll stay away from the rest of the veggies.

I loved looking at these pics – made me feel like I was out of my office and enjoying my own garden for a few minutes. I need to do a similar update soon, thanks for the inspiration!
