Werewolves and suicide.

Wow, the music channels have changed!

I haven’t watched Much Music (Canada’s version of MTV) since the mid-80’s when they had POWER HOUR. I didn’t care for MTV Canada because it seemed to be all those stupid reality shows and quite frankly, they don’t interest me. Come on, they’re not ‘reality’.

I was pleasantly surprised to come across a show called TEEN WOLF. Even more surprised to find myself tuning in each week, and not I’m addicted. I’m not a big fan of YA in any shape or form, so why am I so addicted to this YA show? Is it the snappy dialogue? All the action and mystery? The fact it ISN’T about vampires? I don’t know, but I do like it. And it’s on a night that doesn’t have anything good on too! (Monday nights)

So there I was, sitting on the couch waiting for Sithboy to give me my turn on the internet, when I started channel surfing. I have satalite so it’s one of those three-hundred channels and nothing is on—except, I found another YA show on Much Music, but this one wasn’t paranormal. It was called AWKWARD (love that name), and it was about a young girl who, through a series of accidents, is mistaken for trying to commit suicide, and the reaction from her peers at school. Now granted, I doubt in real life people would be that mean or scatterbrained (or maybe the teen social structure has changed in the 20 or so years since I’ve been in school).

Curious. So I watched. I was impressed. Another good show. Or, at least I thought so.

Nice to see the station can produce good shows, as well as that other stuff.
