Creating a Peaceful Environment

Ask any Pagan what is the most important thing in their life, and you can bet that acquiring some kind of  balance in their life is at the top of the list. Whether it’s balancing work and home life, finding our place within nature, or finding balance within ourselves, we feel the effects on us when something feels ‘out of whack’. Negativity that builds within us must be released otherwise serious health concerns come into effect.

Like most things, learning to find balance takes time. This is a lifestyle change whether or not you want to believe it, but like breaking a bad habit, once you find what works, it becomes easier to implement within your daily routine.

I want to show you how to start creating a negative free environment. One of the best ways to combat negativity is meditation. Just spending a few minutes every day can help you let go of your anger and negativity. Find a nice quiet spot where you won’t be interrupted make yourself comfortable, closed your eyes and just relax. Allow yourself to let go the tension and anger that you may be holding in. Take a deep breath and hold it for a couple minutes, then slowly exhale. If you want, listen to soft music or burn incense to aid in your relaxation.

They say you should meditate for thirty minutes a day, but if you’re just starting out or (like me) too fidgety, I suggest starting with five-minute sessions.

Do you meditate? How do you find it?
