Ten Days of Holiday Songs; Day Three

This time of year can be so stressful, and the best way to beat that stress is with laughter. I love holiday songs that make me smile and this one brought a huge smile to my face when I heard it for the first time. It has to be what every person who works in retail is thinking this time of year. I really can’t get enough of this song.

Straight No Chaser; Christmas Can-Can.

Ten Days of Holiday Songs; Day Two

On the second day of holiday songs, I chose one that adds a bit of humour to the season. I can only think of two times a year where being single is uncomfortable; Valentine’s Day (obviously) and the Christmas season. This includes New Year’s Eve. Being single during the holidays has its own rewards and while the end of this song hints that a relationship might be in the works, it’s still a fun song.

The Waitresses; Christmas Wrapping.

Ten Days of Holiday Songs; Day One

The holiday season is in full swing. Everywhere you look there are decorations, holiday music, all in anticipation for the ‘big day’. As a Pagan, I don’t participate Christmas, but that doesn’t mean that I can’t enjoy what this season offers. Besides, y’all borrowed from us to start with so…

Besides the food, I love the music of Christmas. Everything from the old hymns to the modern songs. Music isn’t bound by faith or belief, it simply exists to be enjoyed, so with that in mind, I offer you the first of the holidays music that I adore.

Carol of the Bells – Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

There are many versions of this song, but this is my favourite. From the first sopranos to the incredible altos this song is beautifully arranged and performed. I can’t let the season go by without listening to this song a couple times.

Some Holiday Cheer! Bob and Doug and the 12 Days of Christmas!

Heard this song last night on the radio and I have to post it here! Seven days to go!
